San Antonio knows how to celebrate Halloween! There’s a ton of stuff to do every weekend through late October. Check out this guide for some fun (and spooky) Halloween activities everyone in the family can enjoy!
1. Cavern Fall Bat Fest
- October 5th – October 27th
- Every weekend, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Kick off your Halloween fun at the first-ever Cavern Fall Bat Fest at Natural Bridge Caverns! This FREE, family-friendly event celebrates fall and San Antonio’s favorite residents—bats! Enjoy a bat-themed scavenger hunt, live music, a mini-hay maze, and fun photo stops. Don’t miss out on the seasonal menu items and Trick-or-treating on October 26th and 27th. Plus, come in costume for a free AMAZEn’ Ranch Round-Up maze ticket!
2. Spooktacular
- September 12th – October 31st
- 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
For family-friendly Halloween fun, try SeaWorld Spooktacular. Wear your favorite costume (no costume masks or hoods are permitted) and enjoy trick-or-treating and dancing with Sesame Street friends during their parade.
3. Howl-O-Scream
- September 13th – October 27th
- 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Get ready for a spine-tingling event at SeaWorld San Antonio’s Howl-O-Scream! Experience the park’s haunted houses, live shows, and scare zones that will give you goosebumps. This event is not recommended for children under the age of 13.
4. Boo Fest
- September 7th – November 3rd
- 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Six Flags Fiesta Texas presents Boo Fest, a not-so-scary Halloween event where kids and adults will be able to have fun together. There are family-friendly rides, a trick-or-treat trail, fall festivities, and more!
5. Zoo Boo
- September 21st – October 31st, 2024
- Open daily 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The San Antonio Zoo is getting into the Halloween spirit! This event offers something for all ages, from trick-or-treat stations to a pumpkin patch, giant animatronic bugs, various Halloween-themed activities, and so much more. Don’t miss out on the FREE trick-or-treating during the final hour of the day!
6. Brick-or-Treat: Monster Party
- September 27th – November 3rd
- Open daily 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Families can get into the Halloween spirit as LEGO® Monsters take over LEGOLAND Discovery Center San Antonio and throw a Monster Party you don’t want to miss! Brew up fun at the Potion Kitchen, a place to create potions by combining your building creativity. Enjoy monster-ific activities and an exclusive 4D Halloween movie, The Great Monster Chase, during the family Halloween event.
7. Tricks & Treats Halloween Event
- September 27th – November 3rd
- 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Join Serafina the Sea Witch at the Tricks & Treats event—it’s included with general admission! Enjoy San Antonio’s family-favorite Halloween event, and step up to help Serafina the Sea Witch’s ocean home and sea creature friends by solving the boo-tastic challenges while exploring SEA LIFE San Antonio’s unique exhibits.
8. Spook-Track-Ula
- October 19th, 20th, 26th, 27th
- 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
The Texas Transport Museum is hosting Spook-track-ula with train rides and trick-or-treating set amidst a candy treasure hunt! Kids of all ages are encouraged to wear costumes and bring a candy bag. This year also features pumpkin decorating and a fun activity area for kids 12 and under. When the clock strikes 6, and the sun sets, Zombies and Monsters will join the festivities!
